TechTeach Across Texas One Year Fast-Track Program is an award-winning, clinically intensive, competency-based program aimed at improving K-12 student achievement, strengthening new teachers’ instructional skill upon entry into their careers, and fostering within them the qualities important for helping them remain and thrive in the teaching profession. Qualified and motivated teacher candidates complete their degree, earn their certification and start teaching in one calendar year (12 months) after earning an AAT from a community college. This innovative online program is driven by a new vision for teacher preparation in the College of Education at Texas Tech University. It is unlike any other program in Texas, with a clear focus on ensuring you are ready on day one for successful teaching and equipped for a lifetime in the profession.

Transfer Scholarships

TechTeach Across Texas offers a $6,000 transfer scholarship for students (including Dreamers/DACA recipients) with a 3.0 GPA and financial need. They also offer a $8,000 transfer scholarship for students with a 3.5 GPA or higher.

Red Raider Guarantee

In an effort to increase access to higher education, Texas Tech has implemented a plan to guarantee tuition and mandatory fees (based on 30 credit hours for the year) to new entering freshmen and transfer students with an associate's degree, who are Texas residents, have a family adjusted gross income that does not exceed $65,000, have demonstrated financial need, and who will be enrolled full time (12 hours or more each semester - Fall/Spring only).

The Red Raider Guarantee ensures tuition and mandatory fees up to 30 credit hours per year will be paid by a combination of federal, state, and institutional funds.

Other Scholarships

Students may be eligible to receive a $3,000 TechTeach scholarship, plus a $1,000 summer scholarship and/or the $5,000 Gilman Study Abroad Scholarship. All of these scholarships are stackable, meaning you can accept as many as you are eligible for!
